The goal of Community Education for Summit County Children Services is to promote community understanding of child welfare issues and services offered by the agency to meet the needs of children and families at risk. A related goal is to enhance support for effective collaboration with the agency.

Trained community volunteers and staff participate in the Speakers Bureau, offering educational presentations for professionals and the community at large. Community outreach initiatives include:

The Child & Family Leadership Exchange - a model training project for human services managers is designed to promote effective inter-agency collaboration.

Positive Parenting - is a service provided to assist parents in their efforts to help children develop high self-esteem, self-control and responsibility.
